Lynnette Thredgold School of Music

“Experience a diverse musical education”

The goal of Lynnette Thredgold School of Music is to allow students to explore and realize their own creative potential through music. In a noncompetitive environment, students experience an immersion in learning and study. Through proper training, knowledge and experience, each student develops their own unique style of mastery.

The School of Music is for the student ready to embark on a focused musical experience. The curriculum complements public school music classes, and students are encouraged to continue to participate in their orchestral, choral and band programs.

Classes are taught in two semesters during the school year. Fall semester runs September through November and ends before the Holiday season begins. Winter semester begins the first part of January and continues through the beginning of April. In addition, a concentrated Summer Program is offered during the month of June. All classes during the school year are held after school and on Saturdays.

Courses may include music theory, ear training, music history, rhythm and articulation, improvisation, performance anxiety, composition, orchestral studies, master classes and chamber music.
